ASTRID WAUTERS - UITGESTELD NAAR VOLGEND SEIZOEN - POSTPONED TO NEXT SEASON
Astrid Wauters begon met cello in Brugge bij Jan Van Kelst en behaalde haar master aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel bij Marie Hallynck. Van 2014 tot 2019 was ze lid van het Akhtamar Kwartet, opgericht aan de Luca School of Arts, dat zich vervolmaakte bij Guy Danel en het Debussy Kwartet. Hun eerste cd (légendes arméniennes) verscheen in 2019.
Astrid heeft een passie voor oude muziek en volgde een opleiding barokcello bij Marian Minnen, Bernard Woltèche en Lucia Swarts. Samen met haar zus Emma, harpiste, vormde ze het duo Aznèm. (Kalimat, 2022). Ze is ook (stichtend) lid van het barokensemble Theano en het celloduo Cellistico. Ze geeft les in Brugge en Oostende en richt in 2021 het festival “Kamermuziekdagen Brugge” op.

Astrid Wauters began studying cello in Bruges with Jan Van Kelst and obtained her Master’s degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under Marie Hallynck. From 2014 to 2019, she was a member of the Akhtamar Quartet, founded at LUCA School of Arts, which further refined its craft with Guy Danel and the Debussy Quartet. Their first CD (Légendes Arméniennes) was released in 2019.

Astrid has a passion for early music and studied baroque cello with Marian Minnen, Bernard Woltèche, and Lucia Swarts. Together with her sister Emma, a harpist, she formed the duo Aznèm (Kalimat, 2022). She is also a (founding) member of the baroque ensemble Theano and the cello duo Cellistico. She teaches in Bruges and Ostend and founded the festival “Kamermuziekdagen Brugge” in 2021.
